Clay Relief Tiles
Age: 3rd & 4th Grade

Students explored clay by creating coils, spheres and other forms. Students then watched a demonstration of how to "scratch and attach" clay to create a raised surface. We also discussed how to create different texture using various tools.  Students then carved, slipped, and scored their portraits. We then glazed and fired their tiles.
